The 2026 ASJL Sport Jujitsu National Championships ran Saturday, August 29 at 200 George Street in Radford, Virginia. Our people were there. Congratulations to Isaac Stancil, Danny Highfill, Jada, and Tres.

What We Brought Home From Radford
ASJL Sport Jujitsu Nationals · Aug 29
Issue 01 pointed at Saturday. Saturday happened. Doors at 8, rules at 9:30, competition at 10. Continuous sport jujitsu, gi work, forms, weapons, point sparring, duo self-defense. Kids under 12 grappled to position.
Sifu Casey coached the team through the day. They showed up ready, fought clean, and represented the school the way we train to. Isaac Stancil took 2nd in his division. Danny Highfill took 3rd. Jada and Tres each took 2nd. We are proud of them: and of the coaching that got them there.

Our Running Fist instructor: you train with him here: is also working the film side. Acting debut: the 2022 short Paper Line, role Eddie ( AllMovie). He returned as Eddie in the sequel short Paper Line: Bragging Rights ( Blex Media). Now he and Michael Quick McGee are back for the full-length reboot Paper Made, the HBCU martial arts thriller penned by Ryan Watson; Film Combat Syndicate also notes Marrese Crump (and his son) joining the Tampa production. Hydration before you step on the floor
Late summer still cooks the Triad. Aim for about 16 oz of water roughly two hours before hard work, about 8 oz about thirty minutes out, then 4 to 8 oz every 15 to 20 minutes while you train. Under about an hour, water is enough. No energy drinks for kids. Sports safety notes. |
